Ayie's wedding on June 11th @ Melaka

this is the main reason for our cuti-cuti melaka trip.. our big sistah got married last Sunday at Melaka. Congrats to Ayie n hubby, Hairil..
p/s: ayie dah kawen.. pasni saper nak jadik host aktiviti ronggeng josei ni..??

10th - 11th june.. cuti-cuti melaka version rombongan auntie elle..
me, enni, odeng, peroz n tirah -- we had a super duper fun fun funnnn!!
Here's my account of the trip:

First, shuugou kat umah enni and odeng at sri kembangan. The original plan was to depart at 11 am, but when me n tirah arrived there 10 mins before 11, odeng n enni were still in their towels  while peroz was membebel-ing about her always being the first to arrive.
At about 1130 am, we were already on the PLUS highway heading towards Melaka. Me, Tirah and Odeng travelled in Tirah's Ferio, while Peroz accompanied Enni in Enni's Wira.. Somewhere before the Seremban stretch, cars were already moving slowly and gradually the traffic turned into a crawl. We were stranded on the highway for about 2 hours before traffic started to move again. By the time we reached the accident site, the police had already cleared the road. We later learnt from the newspaper that a bus skidded on the slippery road and turned turtle. Luckily no one died. It was raining at that time.
We reached Melaka at about 3pm. Had a cheap but tasty lunch at a restaurant somewhere at Durian Daun near the teachers' college. Then we proceeded to our accommodation, Garden City service apartment somewhere at Melaka Raya for R&R.
By 5pm, we already reached the historical sites. We started off with Muzium Samudera (the big giant ship replica) then to the Stadthuys and St Paul's Church. Some window shopping at the bazaar along the way. Then we climbed up the St Paul's Hill then down to the A Famosa.
After maghrib prayers, all of us but Enni (she had to prepare for a presentation on the next Monday) set out for Jonker Walk. Unfortunately, it rained before we had fully explored the shops and stalls, much to our disappointment!!  Anyway, we fetched Enni at the apartment before having dinner at Klebang. Dinner at midnight, then back to the apartment and zzzzzzzzzz.....
The next morning, we checked out at 12pm and went straight to Ayie's wedding at Bukit Rambai. After the wedding, Enni headed for JB while the rest of us took the trunk road to Nilai to avoid the expected traffic jam. By 6pm, we reached Nilai and Odeng gave the idea to visit Aru n her newborn baby. The trip ended at Putrajaya, when they sent me home..

Another JAD-JAD wedding: Waniey & Jeff
Last Saturday (Mar 18), together with Odeng, Enni, Syura n Peroz, auntie eLLe attended our JAD buddy, Waniey's wedding in Ipoh. Actually, that was the groom's reception. We missed Waniey's which was held a week earlier in Pasir Mas.
We woke up as early as 6:30 am, or rather, auntie eLLe woke up at 6:30 am, and gave everybody else a morning call. Auntie eLLe, Syura n Odeng headed to Bangi from Putrajaya to meet Enni, the driver of the day. By 9 am, we already reached restoran jejantas sg buloh, rendezvous with Peroz who drove from Klang. As a result of average speed 140 kmph, we managed to arrive Ipoh at 1130 am.
Why so early, and why the hurry..?
In case anybody wonders, here's the answer:
BECAUSE WANIEY TOLD US THAT THE BERSANDING CEREMONY IS AT 11, AND SHE HOPED THAT WE COULD SEE HER BERSANDING!!
It turned out that the ceremony started at 1 pm.. 
Anyhow, Uncle Rustam (Jeff's dad) must be someone who cares a lot about the Malay customs and tradition. There was a ghazal group playing ghazal music n songs, nafiri players accompanying the bridal procession, silat performance (not 1, but 3 different types of silat showcased!!), and we noticed there were congkak and some other unidentified relics that reminded us of our culture being displayed in the garden!!
